So is it NLP just because they picked it up somewhere and delivered it to you ? A reasonable question to ask.
To be fair, one measure of the answer might be in the delivery. For example, If the instructor can give a person a specific methodology to "watch" one's thoughts in a practical sense of the word, then perhaps that might be a reasonable gauge of the effectiveness of NLP as discipline.
